A work hour is any hour of the day that is worked and should be recorded to the nearest tenth of an hour. The workday is defined as the 24-hour period starting at 12:00 a.m. and ending at 11:59 p.m. The work week covers seven consecutive days beginning on Sunday and ending on Saturday. The usual work week period is 40 hours.

Overtime is defined as hours worked by an hourly or non-exempt employee in excess of 40 hours in a workweek and should be recorded to the nearest tenth of an hour. Overtime must be approved in advance by the manager to whom the employee reports.

Employees will clock in and out appropriately on a daily basis for each scheduled shift. Each employee is to maintain an accurate daily record of his or her hours worked. All absences from work schedules should be appropriately recorded.

CLOCKING IN / CLOCKING OUT

Clocking In or Out for the day is as simple as clicking the “Punch” icon followed by entering your employee ID without the zero at a time clock then placing your right index finger on sensor. You will know it has accepted your punch by the “Punch Accepted” alert. You can also clock in or out via Desktop by selecting the Kronos Hyperlink.

You are responsible for approving your timecard per pay period. If you need to make any edits to your time card, you may log into Kronos and select “My Timecard’ tile. There you are able to make any corrections. After entering your edits hit save. Reminder: Your edits will not appear until approved by your manager.
